McClellan Bernstiel has assisted managed care organizations in preparing for and responding to financial and market conduct examinations that are routine and “for cause” (including those conducted under the auspices of pending litigation). McClellan Bernstiel regularly works with consulting agencies, actuaries, internal departments, and independent auditors to prepare for and respond to such inquiries. McClellan Bernstiel attempts to resolve market conduct issues before entering into hearings or litigation, but has substantial experience in counseling clients through such hearings and litigation.
As a long-standing member of the New Jersey Association of Health Plans, McClellan Bernstiel regularly monitors developments in federal and state regulations. McClellan Bernstiel also helps clients prepare short and long term plans for compliance with complex federal and state legislation and regulation and works with federal and state regulators to develop appropriate levels of compliance.
